Standups & 1:1s Short meetings, nothing lost.
The recurring calls nobody writes up are where things get dropped. Cluinn lists what was agreed when each one ends.
The 1:1 you keep meaning to write up.
Someone raises a blocker, you agree what happens next, and by Thursday one of you remembers it differently. A half-hour 1:1 comes back with the commitments pulled out: who’s doing what and what to check next time.
Pick up where you left off.
Before the next one, ask what you agreed last time and get it back in a sentence. Over a few months, each 1:1 starts where the last one ended.
The whole week, in one answer.
Ask what came up across every call you’ve had recently and get the themes, the things still open and what you said you’d do, without rereading every transcript. Useful on a Friday, more useful before a planning meeting.
Very short calls don’t get takeaways
A call under about 90 seconds doesn’t produce enough to summarize, so Cluinn doesn’t try: you get the transcript, and that’s it. A five-minute standup is fine; a 60-second one isn’t. Takeaways, like the rest of Calls, are part of Pro.
Common questions
Which parts need Pro?
All of the call side: recording a meeting, asking it questions, takeaways and search by meaning. Basic is dictation only; transcripts you already saved stay viewable, searchable by keyword and downloadable on every plan.
Will a two-minute standup get action items?
Usually, yes. The floor is about 90 seconds of talking. Below that Cluinn saves the transcript and skips the takeaways rather than inventing them from three sentences.
Do I have to start it every time?
Yes, with one click. For Zoom, Google Meet, Webex, GoTo Meeting, Whereby, Slack huddles, Discord and Microsoft Teams in the browser, the Calls bar opens by itself and you press Start. Anywhere else, ⌘\ opens it.
Can my team see these?
No. Cluinn is single-user and nothing is shared. Your calls stay on your Mac and, where encrypted backup is switched on for your account, in an encrypted copy for your own account. If you want a teammate to have the notes, ask for a recap and send it to them.
