Your Mac does the transcribing, wherever it can Cluinn transcribes on your own Mac wherever it can: on a recent Apple silicon Mac with an active plan, your speech becomes text on the machine itself, with no external speech model and no audio uploaded. During a trial, or any time Cluinn can’t run the on-device model, the audio is sent to our servers to be turned into text and discarded straight after.
Text lives on your Mac Transcripts, notes and calls sit in a folder on your Mac, and where encrypted backup is switched on for your account, the copy we hold is encrypted.
The panel is a separate window It floats beside the meeting app, not inside it. If you share your screen, move the panel to a display you aren’t sharing.
No voiceprints saved Voices are told apart during the call only, and nothing that could recognize a voice later is kept.

The AI features still send your words to a server to be processed, even when your audio never leaves your Mac.
