Client calls Know this client’s history before the call starts.

Ask what was said on your last call with this client, and leave this one with the action items already listed.

Walk in knowing what you said last time.

Before the call, ask what you promised this client and get an answer from your calls with them. No scrolling back through a folder of notes hoping the detail was one you bothered to write down.

Stay in the conversation.

Ask for the number they gave earlier, and the answer comes back while it still matters. The panel is a separate window, so when you present you can keep it on another screen.

Leave with the action items listed.

Action items, reminders and key points are listed as soon as the call is over, and you can tick off the action items as they’re done. File the call in that client’s folder and it stays searchable for as long as you keep it.

Common questions

Which parts need Pro?

All of the call side: recording a call, asking it questions, takeaways and search by meaning. Basic is dictation only; transcripts you already saved stay viewable, searchable by keyword and downloadable on every plan.

Can I send the client the notes?

Ask for a recap and copy it, or download an answer as a PDF. The transcript itself is downloadable on every plan. Cluinn never sends anything on your behalf.

What if the call is on the phone, not a meeting app?

If the audio plays through your Mac, it transcribes. Cluinn listens to your microphone and your Mac’s own sound, so the app barely matters.

Is the recording kept?

Not on our servers. Cluinn transcribes on your own Mac wherever it can: on a recent Apple silicon Mac with an active plan, your speech becomes text on the machine itself, with no external speech model and no audio uploaded. During a trial, or any time Cluinn can’t run the on-device model, the audio is sent to our servers to be turned into text and discarded straight after. Either way, the audio is discarded once it is text. A clip that can’t be transcribed straight away waits on your Mac until it can, then it’s deleted. Only the text is saved: on your Mac and, where encrypted backup is switched on for your account, in an encrypted copy on our servers.
